The Whitman Police Department now allows residents to obtain specific information regarding the Massachusetts Sex Offender's Registry.As of December 31, 2016, the Town of Whitman has three Registered Level Three Sex Offenders and 14 Registered Level Two Sex Offenders either residing or employed in Whitman.We make best efforts to update information, but it changes frequently, so we cannot warrant it. Please call to check Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry schedules, fees, and directions before making the trek. If you need to register as a sex offender pursuant to MGL Chapter 6, §178C, please contact the Sex Offender Registry Administrator, Det. Bring the form to the police department, with your personal identification.
Neither the police nor the Board have authority to disseminate information to the general public identifying a Level 1 offender.

A sex offender is any person who resides, works or attends an institution of higher learning in the Commonwealth and has been convicted of a sex offense, or who has been adjudicated as a youthful offender or as a delinquent juvenile by reason of a sex offense, or a person released from incarceration or parole or probation supervision or custody with the Department of Youth Services for such a conviction or adjudication, or a person who has been adjudicated a sexually dangerous person or a person released from civil commitment on or after August 1, 1981.
